Cincinnati Camerata is excited to announce that Trevor Kroeger assumes the role of Artistic Director for the 2018-19 concert season. Trevor follows a six-year tenure of Brett Scott and plans to expand Camerata’s mission of community choral excellence starting with his directing debut in Camerata’s annual Marian concert on December 1st and 2nd, 2018. Biography
An accomplished young conductor, Trevor Kroeger is Director of Music and Organist at St. Rose Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he founded the Choir of St. Rose in 2014. This professional chamber choir performs for weekly liturgical observances and presents acclaimed concerts of choral masterworks throughout the year. He proudly serves as the Artistic Director of Cincinnati Camerata, a choral ensemble of gifted volunteer singers. Previously, Trevor was the Assistant Conductor for the advanced division of the Cincinnati Boychoir. When he’s not on the podium, Trevor shares his passion for choral music with ensembles throughout Cincinnati, singing regularly with Vocal Arts Ensemble and Coro Volante, an emerging professional choir dedicated to recording choral music by living composers. He has also sung with the May Festival Chorus, the Choir of St. Peter in Chains Cathedral, the Bach Ensemble of St. Thomas, and Collegium Cincinnati. As a dedicated arts advocate, Trevor is President of the Greater Cincinnati Choral Consortium Board of Directors and is Music Director for Cincinnati Opera’s outreach choir, The Singing Seniors.
Trevor holds a Master of Music degree in conducting and a Bachelor of Music degree in music education from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He has served as a conducting fellow for the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir Choral Conductors Symposium, and the Chorus America Conducting Academy. Trevor placed second in the 2019 American Choral Directors Association National Graduate Choral Conducting Competition, held in Kansas City, Missouri.
