The Cincinnati Camerata is a select community choral ensemble, created to perform many genres of music in beautiful and diverse settings. We present works from a broad spectrum of styles, from the Renaissance to the avant-garde—from the most sacred works of the church to secular songs of the past four centuries.
Our audiences are invited to re-experience familiar works and also to encounter new compositions. Performing contemporary choral music is vital to our mission. Our annual Composition Contest attracts new music composers from all over the world!
Sing with Camerata
If you are an advanced amateur musician looking for a challenging, but fun and informal choral singing experience in the Cincinnati area, please consider auditioning to join the Camerata! You can hear samples of our concerts and read past programs’ repertoire on our Listen page.
Auditions are held on a rolling basis by our director, Brett Scott. If you email him to set up an appointment, he will hold an informal audition with you at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer (2944 Erie Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45208). You should prepare one selection (art song preferred). Accompanist will be provided.
