The Camerata explores themes of separation, reunion, unity, and independence in their first post-pandemic live performance of works by Brahms, Hailstork, Mari Esabel Valverde, Dello Joio, Stanford, as well as the premiers of Ellen Ruth Harrison’s “Fold Your Wings” and our 2020 Composition Prize winner “Above gravity” by Ellen Gilson Voth—a work the jury praised as a “well-crafted piece of choral music reflective of the impact of Covid…with sensitive vocal writing, word painting, and text setting.”
